Sanctuary

Depictions of meteor showers and ancient ruins paint a picture of quiet destruction. These photographs were created by arranging cut-paper scenes, illuminating them through glass to catch reflections, refractions, and shadows. Digital editing techniques alter the images further, transforming them from the realm of the real into the otherworldly.

Wander

Shot with black & white 4x5 film and color digital cameras, these images explore the way nighttime streetlights in urban spaces and parking lots interact with a feeling of wanderlust.

Cloth Caves

Captured by 4x5 film, fabric bedsheets are arranged into cavern formations and tunnels illuminated by lights hidden within the scene. A meditative process, low-light exposure times took anywhere from 45-70 minutes to create each image.
